Prism Self Defense

Wade Parshall has been a practitioner of Japanese Jujitsu since the mid 1980’s, and was a world ranked competitor in The National Blackbelt League and the International Sport Karate Association. In 1996 he took 9th place at the World Games Invitational tournament in Washington DC. The division he participated in was ironically entitled Self-Defense. As a youth, he was bullied very heavily and that, as well as an ill-advised viewing of a very violent “based on a true story” movie about a brutal public murder in NYC in his early childhood left him with a burning desire to see people free from bullying and worse forms of violence. Then, after a short stint in the Army, he came home and met Ron Bearer, from whom he began receiving training in a particular self-defense-based version of Jujitsu.
